President Barack Obama

Today was the inauguration of President Barack Obama. This inauguration of President Obama shows that in order to live a good and meaningful life, you must not think that you are above other people. President Obama shows that even though he is practically a celebrity now, he still helps out the regular people. By volunteering to help at shelters and hanging out with regular people, President Obama shows that you don’t need to be superior to have a good and meaningful life. You can mingle with the regular people and still have a wonderful life. Folk culture also tells us that we should not be mean to people, or to think that we are better than other people. Rich people tend to think that they are better than everyone else because they have more money and power than everyone else, but in reality, that is not true. What President Obama’s inauguration today and folk culture has showed us is that even though he is a man of power, he is equivalent to anyone, such as a teacher at a elementary school or a office worker. In order to live a good and meaningful life, people need to realize that everyone is equal. It doesn’t matter what religion you are, what gender you are, what you family background is, etc., all that matters is everyone is equal.
